The problem

Owning NFTs on Solana feels like a junk drawer.

Wallets bury art under spam. Viewing a collection means squinting at a wallet grid or opening a marketplace built for flipping, not looking. Cleanup tools exist, but the good ones are token-gated by NFT projects or take 2 to 20 percent of what they recover.

And the venues built to actually showcase art keep disappearing. Formfunction shut down, others pivoted to trading or went quiet, and the artists who minted on Solana lost their walls. The display layer for on-chain art has no owner. Mantel is that layer.

The product

Every wallet, one clean wall. And every tool, free.

Mantel is a gallery first: paste any address at mantel.gallery and see the art, no sign-in, spam filtered, real floors. Sign in and it becomes the utility suite above.

Trades and purchases settle as one atomic transaction signed by both wallets. No escrow, no middleman, nothing custodied, ever.

Why it wins

The Famous Fox playbook, with the gate removed.

Solana's best NFT utilities sit behind holding a specific NFT or skim the recovered SOL. Mantel ships the same suite ungated: no token requirement, no cut of reclaimed rent, an optional tip the user can uncheck. Trust is the moat: itemized receipts before every signature, hard guards against burning anything clean, featured, or carrying a market floor.

Seeker native

Built for the device, not ported to it.

Signed Android build (TWA) with Mobile Wallet Adapter and Seed Vault via Wallet Standard auto-discovery. The read-only quick view makes it a zero-risk first app for a new Seeker owner: see your art before you ever sign anything. dApp Store submission is in progress.

Status

Live, shipped, self-funded.

Launched July 2026 at mantel.gallery. Everything above is live today, not a roadmap. Built and funded by two people, no outside capital, no token.

What we are

A gallery is somewhere you walk through to look at art. Some of what hangs there is also for sale.

Nobody calls a gallery a shop. Nobody walks in to compare prices. Nobody thinks less of it for keeping a price list at the desk. The art is the reason to be there and the sale is something that can happen while you are.

That is the whole design. Walls are capped at fifty pieces because a gallery hangs a show and a warehouse holds inventory. Listings never take custody, because a gallery does not take your painting off you to hang it. Looking is free and always will be.

What we send back

A gallery is the top of the funnel.

Nobody browses a marketplace to discover art they did not already know about. They browse a wall. Every piece on Mantel detects where it is actually listed and sends the buyer there: Tensor, Magic Eden, Mallow. That is volume arriving at their books from people who were not shopping, and it costs those marketplaces nothing.

We read sale history from parsed transactions rather than from any one marketplace's API, which means a piece shows what it sold for on Exchange Art or Formfunction years after both went dark. Venues close. Provenance does not, and somebody has to keep showing it.

The ask

Fund the audit.

Exchange Art closed on 1 August 2026, saying plainly that it could not find a sustainable model. Mallow now carries Solana 1 of 1 art close to alone. The lesson is not that nobody serves this work, it is that a standalone art marketplace is a hard business to fund from sales alone.

So we are not building another one. Mantel is a gallery, and selling is a feature of it: a piece sells from the wall it already hangs on. That is why we can charge nothing, and it is why we send buyers out to Tensor, Magic Eden and Mallow for everything we do not settle ourselves.

The program behind it is escrowless. A seller keeps their piece and their keys, grants a delegate for that one piece at their own asking price, and the artist royalty is paid inside the same transaction. No custody, no vault, no pooled funds, and no admin instruction that can move anyone's art.

A program that moves other people's art has to be reviewed by someone other than the person who wrote it, and it is the only part of this we cannot do ourselves. The ask is a specialist review of roughly 500 lines of Anchor, plus a funded bug bounty so the tail is covered after launch rather than hoped away. Small, because the program was designed to be: no on-chain offers, no auctions, no pooled liquidity, no arbitrary CPI, one piece per instruction.

Everything around it is already built and shipped: the interface, the indexer, the event log, the reconciliation and the revoke controls. Mantel charges nothing today and the utilities stay free.
