What Mantel is
Mantel is a viewer and showcase for NFTs held in wallets you control. It is not a broker, exchange or custodian. We never hold your keys or your assets, and we never take custody of a piece during a sale or a trade.
Transactions
Mantel prepares transactions you ask for: sending NFTs, trading them, buying a listed piece, burning them, or closing empty token accounts. Every one is signed in your own wallet and settles directly on Solana. Trades and purchases are atomic: both sides complete in one transaction or nothing moves.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible, so review what your wallet shows before signing. Mantel charges no fee on any of this. Network fees go to the blockchain, not to us.
Listings and sales
Pricing a piece on your wall is an invitation to buy at that price, not a binding contract, and you can change or remove it at any time. A buyer paying the asking price opens a trade that both wallets sign. Until it is signed and confirmed on chain, nothing has been sold.
Approvals and delegates
Selling a piece without handing it to us first means granting a program permission to move that one piece, and only when someone pays your asking price. Mantel never takes custody of your art or your SOL, and the permission covers the single piece you listed, nothing else in your wallet.
Cancelling a listing revokes it. Every approval on your wallets, whether it came from us or from anywhere else, is listed under Approvals in your settings, with a button to revoke it. You never need our permission, or our website, to take one back.
Fees
Mantel charges nothing to display, send, trade, list or sell. If that ever changes, the fee will be shown before you sign anything, and it will never apply to a listing made before it was announced.
Artist royalties
When a sale settles through Mantel, any royalty set in a piece's metadata is paid to its verified creators inside the same transaction, out of the seller's proceeds. This applies to 1 of 1s and editions, not to pieces belonging to a verified collection. A seller may waive it before both sides lock the trade, and the amount is shown to both parties before anyone signs.
Prints and merch
An artist who has claimed their work can allow physical prints and merch of it. This is a licence the artist grants by ticking the box on their claim, it is never on by default, and an unclaimed piece is never printed. The artist's share is half of what each sale clears after production and shipping, shown before anything goes on sale.
The licence can be withdrawn at any time in settings. Orders placed while it was on are honoured under the licence they were placed under; nothing new is offered after it is withdrawn. Merch is a physical product sale, separate from the art itself: buying a print conveys no rights to the NFT or the artwork.
Offers
An offer on Mantel is a note to the owner, not an on-chain bid or a binding contract. Making one shares your X handle with them.
Your conduct
- Only link wallets you control.
- No harassment, spam, scams or impersonation.
- No unlawful content in profiles or offer notes. We may remove content or accounts that break these rules.
Reporting and blocking
Every wall and every piece carries a report control, and each report is reviewed by us. You can also block an account from its wall: their offers stop reaching you and yours stop reaching them, and they are not told. We remove content and accounts that break these rules.
For disputes, or anything a report does not cover, contact us through the details on our dApp Store listing.
Founder badges
The founder badge goes to the first hundred accounts that claim a name and hang at least five pieces of real art. A piece can only count once, for one account. One badge per person: we may refuse or revoke a badge from any account that appears to be farming them, running duplicate accounts, or otherwise gaming the run. Revoked numbers are retired rather than reissued.
Market data
Floor prices, last sales and other market data come from third parties and can be wrong or stale. Nothing on Mantel is financial advice.
Liability
Mantel is provided as is, without warranties. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the service, including trades and purchases you choose to make.
