Selling your art
Mantel is a gallery: some of what hangs here is also for sale, and it does not have to sell here. Your wall shows where a piece is listed, whichever venue you choose.
Pick the venue by the work
- Mallow for 1 of 1 art and small editions. Artist-first: auctions, offers, and collectors who buy art rather than floors. If your work is on this site's artist pages, this is where its buyers already are.
- Magic Eden for collections and editions. The biggest audience on Solana. Listing is escrowless: the piece stays in your wallet with the marketplace set as delegate, and your Mantel wall badges it with the price.
- Tensor for collections with an active floor. Built for traders. If your piece belongs to a set people already trade, this is the fastest route to a sale.
You can also price a piece on your own wall. A buyer pays your ask and the sale settles as one atomic trade both wallets sign, with no fee and nothing held by us.
Royalties, plainly
- A programmable NFT (pNFT) enforces its royalty in the token itself. Every sale pays it, on every venue.
- A Core asset enforces royalties through its royalties plugin, the same way.
- A classic NFT only requests its royalty. Some venues honour it, some make it optional for the buyer. Sales on Mantel pay it inside the trade unless you waive it.
The royalty itself is set in the piece's metadata at mint time. If you are about to mint new work and royalties matter to you, mint it as a pNFT or a Core asset.
What your wall shows
An escrowless listing leaves the piece in your wallet, so it stays on your wall and gains a price badge linking to the venue. An escrowed venue takes the piece into its own account, so it leaves your wall until it sells or you delist.
Escrowless also means one piece can be listed in two places at once. That is allowed, and only one sale can settle: the second buyer's transaction simply fails.
Before you list
- Type the venue address yourself or use the links on your piece. Search results and DMs are where the fake ones live.
- A listing approval covers the one piece you list, nothing else. Anything asking for more is not a listing.
- Staked or locked pieces cannot list. Unstake first.
- Venue fees change. The venue's own listing screen is the truth, not a guide.
